In the beginning was the fish. And in the original Hawaiian Poke Bowl – the perfect fusion of Asian and West Coast cuisine. Today everything goes in one bowl. Vegan, with fish or meat. Cold or warm.
The great variety means little effort, but a lot of fun in the kitchen and is perfect for everyone who likes it quickly and uncomplicated. Typically, the bowls are still primarily prepared hearty. But of course there have long been bowl enthusiasts, too, who start the day at breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, some porridge and seeds.
Whether in the morning, at noon or in the evening: Bowls are served – logically! – in a bowl. You can treat yourself to some fancy new ones. Or you can simply use the already existing muesli bowl. It should just be big enough to fit all the goodies.
By the way, bowls are not only healthy and quick, but also great leftovers. So if you have any leftovers, be bold and put everything in a bowl. Because the same applies here: No rulez! What you like fits. But don’t forget: A dash of soy sauce makes everything better.
